The OFF Bratislava festival, in partnership with the International Visegrád Fund, supports communication between the V4 countries in an artistic context. It creates healthy competitiveness and tries to eliminate quality dips through balanced conditions for presentation. The festival enables the acquisition of rare professional relationships and thus the opportunity for future cooperation between the V4 countries.

The participation of artists and art schools in the preparation of the festival actively contributes to the improvement of relations and the sharing of experiences and ideas. Participation is enhanced by the prestigious ON Award and V4 Award for the best student project in the OFF Academy section and the best student project from the countries of the Visegrád Group. In this way, the OFF Bratislava festival, together with the International Visegrád Fund, tries to provide generous conditions for the support and visibility of artists on a global level.

Conversation, international cultural exchange and the idea of mutual understanding are initiated at the festival with separate lectures, workshops and discussions focused on contemporary topics of art and society. The presentation of projects from the countries of the Visegrád Group in the OFF Academy, OFF Libris sections and in the main curatorial section of the festival offers space for thinking about the V4 program as a whole, which is also active here in relation to other exhibited international artworks.
